PG16- Search for a Soul (some v,x)
Sorry, no data yet.
Christian Desmonde is a vampire raised as a Catholic in 15th century France. Christian is horrified by the death of his soul, the terrible act of feeding, and his own lack of will that keeps him locked in an unending cycle of guilt. He is searching for an answer from God. Does he have a soul? If so, will he go to hell for the acts he commits for his own survival? In this search, Christian is aided by Jesse Nestarius, an angel, and Roni, a mortal woman.
Search for a Soul is full of misused words, grammatical errors, and a couple of confusions with the timeline of the story. The first five chapters contain only supernaturals as characters. Ms. Bishop in the first 60 pages tells you what is going on instead of showing you what is going on. This novel would be much better if she would rewrite the first five chapters, reviewing the grammar, phrasing, and spelling in the entire book. On the plus side, however, there are no major plot holes that detract from the telling of the story, and the tale does get better as the story goes on. Her future novels are likely to be much better written than this one, and worth the effort to find. However, this novel is low on the list of vampire stories to read.
